The project in brief

A designed interior for a rental home.

Atmosphera designed and delivered turnkey an apartment with 72 m² of net floor area in S&R, Sofia. The property was prepared for rental in the upper price range. The owner lives abroad and entrusted the whole process to the studio. The brief was an open space with an understated, stylish and practical look. The solutions include a kitchen island with a wine cooler, shelving with a built-in air conditioner, a study that can take a bed in future and cabinet furniture for the appliances in the utility room.

01 / Client brief and starting conditions

Open, stylish and practical.

Who was the interior created for?

For an owner preparing the property for rental in the upper price range. The main task was a finished designed interior with practical functions and coordinated materials.

What did we find?

A new build with fairly well-executed plaster and screed. Good soundproof windows limit the noise from the boulevard below the home.

Which requirements shaped the solutions?

The client asked for a kitchen island and a wine cooler, a work area instead of a children's room and extra storage. For the shelving and the utility room, the task also included concealing the equipment.

02 / Four specific solutions

Every detail has its reason.

Island with a built-in wine cooler and bar stools
Completed interior · S&R

01 / LIVING ROOM AND KITCHEN

An island with room for the wine cooler.

Task. The client wanted a kitchen island and a wine cooler, for which the kitchen had no other place.

Solution. We built the wine cooler into the island. The bar stools form a dining area, and the pendant light accentuates it.

Benefit. Wine, cooking and dining are gathered in one zone.

02 / STORAGE AND EQUIPMENT

Shelving with more than one job.

Task. Extra storage and partial concealment of the air conditioner in the living room.

Solution. Open shelving in oak decor with black metal spacers and a built-in air conditioner. The composition continues the wall panelling towards the island and includes decorative LED lighting.

Benefit. Extra storage and decorative LED light in one shared line.

03 / STUDY

A study today. A possible bedroom tomorrow.

Task. To turn the children's room in the architectural plans into a work area.

Solution. A study with a desk, wardrobe, cabinets and a sofa bed. The layout allows a bed to take the place of the sofa later.

Benefit. A layout that allows the function to change in future.

04 / UTILITY ROOM

The equipment has its own place.

Task. To conceal the water heater and better organise laundry and household items.

Solution. The washing machine and dryer are built into anthracite cabinet furniture. The cabinet conceals the water heater and adds useful storage.

Benefit. A tidy utility room with more useful storage.
